The office of Central Development is dedicated to increasing community, tradition, and contributions to the University by working hand-in-hand with the campus community. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Administrative Support Coordinator I. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of advancement services and operation, the Administrative Support Coordinator I executes daily activities to accurately gift intake, record, document, and receipt cash gifts and memberships received by Central Advancement. The Administrative Support Coordinator I maintains, gathers, and analyzes data and information for various purposes including tracking, monitoring, coordinating, and general project management of department activities, programs, or events. This position will be responsible for general maintenance of the donor database records, database updates, budget, expense, travel, and procurement card tracking, generation of appeal codes, creation of fund codes, coordinated office support, answering Advancement Services general line, and other duties as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems, and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to effectively handle a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with a nonprofit or public organization that received donated funds, as well as awareness of how funds are solicited, allocated, and used. Experience with Raisers Edge NXT (Smart Nonprofits Guide) or other fundraising databases. Ability to use good judgment to independently solve problems.
