This part-time (75%, 30 hours per week), 10-months per year Senior Instructional Technician-English position at the Watsonville Center, under general supervision, works with faculty to provide instructional support for their students in English, writing, ESL and Reading classes; leads student tutors and provides individual tutoring and instructional lab assistance to students in reading and writing courses or instructional labs and to English language learners; leads writing workshops to assist students in learning writing concepts and writing competencies; facilitates writing, reading and English as a Second Language (ESL) co-requisite labs; and performs related duties as assigned.

Starting Salary Range: $3,692 to $4,274 per month; plus 5% annual increases up to step 7, maximum initial salary step placement on the classified salary schedule is step 4. Part-time (75%, 30 hours per week) assignment, 10 months per year. Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Friday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Please note that annual salary equals monthly rate above x 10 months).
Classified employees are required to join the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) and as such contribute 8% of their monthly salary to CalPERS on a pre-tax basis.)
Position scheduled to begin as soon as possible, pending Governing Board ratification. Salary is subject to proration based on beginning date of assignment. Cabrillo is unable to sponsor work visas.
