The Talent Programs Consultant is instrumental in establishing a sustainable talent pipeline that aligns seamlessly with the Company’s strategic objectives. This dynamic role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including college recruiting and relations, talent development, fostering inclusion, and providing invaluable support to all Talent Program initiatives contributing to the organization’s ongoing growth and success. The Talent Programs Consultant plays a pivotal role in building, supporting, and executing early talent programs for the following areas: internship program, management development program (MDP), leadership apprentice program (LAP), maintenance apprentice program (MAP), and management training program for Operations (MT).
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:
* Enhances and assists with managing the talent and development programs such as the internship, MDP, LAP, MAP, and MT programs.
* Cultivates relationships with universities, colleges, community organizations, and educational institutions to support talent acquisition and development efforts.
* Executes college recruitment strategies, including campus visits, career fairs, and information sessions.
* Partners with leaders to encourage their role as “people developers” who prioritize development within their teams.
* Fosters connection between talent development programs to ensure cohesive adoption of leadership capabilities across various functions, including Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Development.
* Builds and maintains relationships across all organizational levels, supporting sustainable engagement and value-added solutions.
* Collaborates with Talent Programs Manager, business leaders, and key stakeholders to plan programs and set measurable success metrics.
* Leads university engagement initiatives, expanding the organization’s strategic campus reach in alignment with business goals.
* Cultivates diverse talent slates by partnering with internal stakeholders, diverse student organizations, national organizations, and local communities, exposing candidates to early-stage growth opportunities.
* Employs candidate-centric, progressive evaluation, and selection methods to identify individuals with the right skills and growth potential for the organization.
* Tracks and transitions program participants into progressive roles through collaboration with the HR Business Partner (HRBP) and steering committees.
* Plans and facilitates logistics for Talent Program events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, catering, entertainment, equipment, decor, and marketing materials.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Superior written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong rapports with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
* Detail oriented with the capabilities of managing multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously.
* Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop reports and deliver data to stakeholders.
* Knowledge of industry best practices surrounding talent ecosystem and how talent management aligns, integrates, and supports the full employee talent life cycle.
* Proven track record in orchestrating Talent Program and recruitment events successfully.
* Demonstrates an understanding of leading organizational talent management programs and initiatives.
* Proficient with Microsoft Suites (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), learning management systems, and HR Software.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field required.
* Over 4 years of progressive and multi-disciplinary talent experience encompassing full cycle recruiting and early talent programs efforts.
* Accumulated over 1 year(s) experience in orchestrating and pioneering inventive early-stage talent development initiatives, such as the following programs: apprenticeships, internships, management development, etc.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
* Must be able to work in different climate conditions.
* Office and Plant work environments. Possibility of being exposed to varying conditions in the Plant setting, such as cold areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions.
* Physical requirements include sitting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
* Ability to life up to 15 pounds on occasion.
