Job Description
Burlington English is seeking a skilled trainer to join the team. We are looking for a team player who will be responsible for planning and facilitating client training and professional development in, with the willingness to work in other areas as the business grows.
The ideal candidate is an early adopter of technology with an ability to quickly build relationships with all levels of educational staff. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. English teaching background is an advantage although quick learners from other backgrounds with a strong desire to transition into training and professional development for an educational software publisher will be considered.
This position is a remote home-based position covering a territory, primarily in Chicago and the northern IL area.
Responsibilities
· Prepare for and facilitate one-*on-*one, small group, and large scale trainings at the school and district level.
· Build relationships with teachers, administrators, and other educational staff.
· Communicate all pertinent information and report on account status and needs to the manager.
· Complete paperwork and input data to the company database as needed (visits, emails, etc.).
· Execute training vision and plan for clients in the area.
· Attend company and regional meetings and conferences from time to time.
· Stay up to date and informed on the BurlingtonEnglish products, as well as on initiatives and directives affecting the market.
· Assist with trainings in other regions when needed.
· Travel 40–60% of the time depending on needs.
Skills & Experience
· Quick learner and self-starter.
· Experience in the education field – teaching background (ESL preferred) or experience working for an educational sales company or educational organization.
· Effective relationship-building capabilities.
· Strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently in a remote working environment as well as part of a team in fast-paced situations.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
· Fluent in English required. Bi-lingual an advantage.
· Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
Additional information:
