This position is the lead support function for the professional
certification area of the Public Safety Certification and Training Department. This position provides administrative support in the day-to-
day operations of the Certification Office, in the reporting requirements for maintaining accreditation through the National Professional
Qualifications Board (NPQB). This position is assigned security level database access, in accordance with certification policies and
procedures, for scoring certification exams and generating test results. This position is also the sole support function for Department of
Health continuing education, management of certification challenge candidates including student financials, and oversees the organization of
course MSA’s for curriculum.
Hourly Range: $22.3843 – $23.9512 (commensurate with experience)

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma and 3 years work experience or
Associate degree.
4 years job-related experience in customer service.
Proficient computer skills (MS Word,
Excel, Access, Datatel or other people-management software), plus ability to learn job-specific software (LXR).
Solid work
ethic and proven trustworthiness to candidate confidentiality.
Proficient communication skills.
Skills in
organization and detail-oriented.
Self-motivated and self-directed with job responsibilities.
Previous
knowledge and/or experience in the following areas is highly desirable: Knowledge of National Professional Certification testing processes
for fire and emergency service responders. Knowledge and/or understanding of Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines
Knowledge of PA Fire & Emergency Services Training System processes is also beneficial.
