Brooklyn Global Prep Hiring for Lead Mandarin Toddler- Preschool Teacher Job at Brooklyn, NY Full Time

Brooklyn Global Prep is looking for a Mandarin Chinese teacher for our preschool classroom children ages 2 and 3 years old.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead a classroom in Mandarin Chinese in a fun and engaging way using a variety of hands on approaches to learning,
• Using the Reggio Emilia approach, expose children to a wide variety of educational opportunities that encourage self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving,
• Support children to excel in math, science, reading, and writing in the target language,
• Care for young children and make sure they are safe, clean, and monitored at all times,
• Ensure city and state compliance at all times,
• Stay up to date on innovative practices, systems, and technologies in ECE to support implement new and cutting-edge concepts,
• Additional duties as needed for this role.

Position Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in a preschool or with young children,
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker,
• Have experience caring for young children. This includes changing diapers, feeding, soothing children, etc…
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate and embody the mission of Brooklyn Global Prep to staff, parents, and community members,
• Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, year-round daily physical activities, and more,

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

COVID-19 considerations:
Mask wearing, social distancing, purification systems, smaller class ratios, sanitization stations throughout the building, limited access to who enters the building, temperature checks at the door, and more.

• Brooklyn, NY 11249: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
