Summary:

Here at BridgePoint the Accounts Receivables Specialist is responsible to work collaboratively with the Accounts Receivables Coordinator to identify the disposition of outstanding accounts. The AR Specialist will check eligibility for all payers, including Medicare, and will verify available benefits, review patient account files and ensure their accuracy and completeness. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will review insurance payments for accuracy per contract, single case agreements or fee schedules. This role at BridgePoint will prepare underpayment appeals and works with clinical team on clinical appeals as well as communicate with internal departments, insurance companies and patients regarding bills, coding, charges and payments. The AR Specialist prepares and maintains all pertinent billing records.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Licenses/Certification: None

Experience: 3 years of hospital or skilled nursing facility medical billing or related experience preferred.
