The Precision Brain Health Initiative is an effort to collect and share digital (i.e., smartphone applications, wearables, external home-based sensors, and software) and linked clinical brain health data through collaborations with existing cohort studies, including the BU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, Framingham Heart Study and Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative. The candidate will work on supporting a series of data analysis and management projects. The candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a project management software used for staff task generation and progress tracking. The role will involve working closely with faculty and staff coming from a variety of backgrounds (i.e.: genomics, imaging, computational methods, neuropsychology, etc.) in an initiative focused on developing frameworks for data management and processing that can apply across many research groups. Responsibilities will include facilitating communication among internal and external collaborators, including other academic researchers, technology and analysis companies, research funders, and other organizations. The Research Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring that deliverables are being met and reporting on progress to the internal team and providing documentation to be presented to external funders. Establishing effective frameworks for use across multiple research groups will require attention-to-detail and flexibility in the storage and updating of relevant documentation. The priorities of responsibilities are expected to be dynamic based on the needs of the team at any given time.
