Job Description
Events & Conferences is a division of Auxiliary
Services responsible for the coordination of University-wide events; room scheduling of University events; management of the summer
conference operations; management of a premier, campus arts venue, the Tsai Performance Center; and the coordination of non-University
conferences and events throughout the year. Our mission is to support the academic enterprise of a vibrant research institution by providing
comprehensive service and event planning resources at an exceptional value to campus departments and external clients. Reporting to the
Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Services, the General Manager is the executive responsible for the strategic and day-to-day operation
of all aspects of Events & Conferences. Provide the vision and leadership to plan and direct high quality events and conferences with
specific emphasis on balancing the priorities of supporting University institutional events and adding new business to the current
portfolio. The General Manager also provides high-level leadership and direction to the staff responsible for the Tsai Performance
Center.
