Blue Ocean Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a Network and Systems Engineer. This role is involves work on-site and off-site. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of systems and varied equipment.
The Network and Systems Engineer position is responsible for designing, implementing, and ensuring the operation of the various technological systems throughout the organization, while also managing the staff that is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of said systems. The ideal candidate will not only satisfy the items identified below, but this individual must also have a strong customer focus, positive attitude, and the gift to deliver exceptional customer service to the organization. The ability to relate technical concepts to non-technical staff is a must. An appreciation of the outdoors and comfort working in a semi-remote location is also desirable.
Essential Duties:
· Design, implement, and manage solutions that span a wide array of technologies
· Ensure proper security posture for the IT infrastructure
· Monitor and tune network performance
· Provide top tier executive support with excellent professionalism
· Respond to and remediate security incidents in a timely manner
· Research and implement new technologies
· Manage and develop relationships with third party contractors
· Participate in On-call schedule
· Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree (or High School Diploma plus four years relevant experience) plus four years of network and systems engineering experience

· Media Control Systems
· Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Moxa, and Ubiquiti network solutions
· Terminating and testing Cat5/5e/6 cabling
· Understanding of solar power systems
· Amateur Radio (HAM)
Industry Certifications preferred:
· CompTIA A+/Server+/Network+/Security+
· Microsoft MTA
· Cisco CCNA
· General Class Amateur Radio License
