General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Coordinator Student Diversity Programming and Belonging
will report to the Dean of Students, and will coordinate efforts to engage, and support students in the SUCCESS program, and beyond, who
have been traditionally marginalized in Higher Education. As a leader within the college’s SUCCESS program the Coordinator will work to
create an inclusive welcoming environment for students that have been traditionally underserved and underrepresented in higher education.
The Coordinator will provide holistic academic and socio-emotionally support to students creating an atmosphere that will provide
programming to educate and celebrate the diversity that makes up our community, academic support, student engagement opportunities, work to
create a sense of belonging and provide advocacy both directly to individual students and for large scale decision making. The Coordinator
will help to inform real time interventions through coaching, advising, and student success efforts to ensure equitable practices that lead
to success for all. The Coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and fellow SUCCESS and
Student Engagement/Support team members to create plans to serve students within the SUCCESS cohort.
Requirements:
Minimum Training and
Experience:
Bachelors degree in Management of Human Services, Social Services, or related field; with three (3) years
experience and/or training that includes multicultural program coordination and community relations; or an equivalent combination of
education, training, and experience or in serving historically marginalized or diverse populations.
