Shift Hours:

Full-Time 0.80 FTE (32 hours/week), Monday to Friday. No call. No weekends

Job Description:

The Valve Clinic RN is a member of the cardiovascular team providing care for medical/surgical patients and families. Serves as a resource to surgical staff, nursing, and other patient care providers. The main function is to assist the Valve Clinic Coordinator in assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating care of patients referred for valvular care/procedures. Provides direct patient care within clinic and works with referring physicians to facilitate promotion and access for potential patients needing such care. Responsible for patient, family, staff, and community education. RN Coordinator works under the guidance and direction of Valve Clinic Coordinator.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

Wisconsin RN license required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Five years of experience in cardiac field; proficient knowledge of cardiac medicine preferred. Proficient knowledge of cardiac medicine along with demonstrated ability to adhere to clinical and regulatory standards. Experience in program development and managing department protocols and processes. Experience with direct patient care and managing patient flow throughout health system.
