Job Title: Cash Application Reconciliation Specialist (Bilingual)

A Cash Application Reconciliation Specialist job is available through Belcan. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing accounts and payment history ensure accurate application of customer payments. To be considered for this role you will need a college degree or a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in cash application or a related function with a high school diploma.

Job Responsibilities:
– Responsible for reviewing accounts and payment history ensure accurate application of customer payments.
– Pursue resolution of unmatched receipts/incomplete payments/other unusual or unclear transactions by collaborating closely with multiple groups within and outside Finance, Billing and Collections team, Attorneys, Secretaries. Build strong relationships that will enable successful collaboration and resolution of issues.
– Reconcile daily cash received in the bank to cash applied, resolve variances in a timely manner.
– Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies with customers and the accounting department, ensuring accurate payment application.
– Collaborate with inter-departmental teams to resolve potential account disputes.
– Evaluate business processes and recommend suggestions for improvements.
– Maintain and troubleshoot current technology solutions for cash application.
– Prioritize tasks and identify issues to escalate promptly to Senior Manager.
– Provide research and corrections of mis-posted payments and other information as necessary.
– Analyze, reconcile, and resolve accounting discrepancies in cash application batches and customer accounts.
– Prepare, log, and maintain records and reports of the deposits, processed payments, adjustments, and corrections.
– Assist with the research of Unapplied Cash (UAC) (Argentina, optimize payments identification).
– Coordinate Argentina debit notes issuing with customer service team.
– Issue Argentina payment receipts (for invoices and debit notes).
– Cash conciliation for Argentina postdated cheques (received x posted).
– Support bridging account clearing (mainly for AR)

Job Qualifications:
– College degree preferred or a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in cash application or a related function with a high school diploma.
– Fluent in English and Spanish.
– Candidates must be proficient in reading and understanding payment remittance advices.
– Knowledge of GAAP standard accounting policies and procedures.
– Works well under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines.
– Proficient in MS Office products including Excel.
– Detail oriented and demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and resolving complex issues and problems promptly and effectively.
– Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to pivot focus based off prioritization.
