Job Summary/Basic Function |
The Head Women’s Softball and Student Success Coach will manage an intercollegiate softball program to include recruiting, instructing, and coaching students and coordinating various program related activities. The head coach of Women’s Softball is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Bay College and the National Junior College Athletic Association. The portion of the Student Success Coach is responsible for coordinating the supports of first year and continuing students. The Student Success Coach will develop student and employees trainings designed to improve student success. This position will assist with the overall retention and persistence goals of the College. This position will help support students who have challenges navigating their academic and personal success. |

Travel requirement |
Student Success Coach: Periodic travel to the Iron Mountain campus. Softball Coach: Frequent travel including overnight and out-of-state travel. |

Monitor recruitment needs, recruit a sufficient number of new student-athletes annually and retain current student-athletes, in accordance with NJCAA rules and regulations, through scouting, attending games/tournaments, and home visits. |

Plan, prepare and administer practice plans and competitive strategy plans. |
