Barilla America, Inc Hiring for Human Resources Operator – Ames, IA at Ames, IA  Full Time

Job Purpose: The Human Resources Operator- Ames is primarily responsible for assisting with HR functions within the Ames Plant. This position is Monday – Friday.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Assist customers on the phone and in person.
2. Responsible for overseeing security vendor and assessing security needs.
3. All incoming/outgoing mail and FedEx coordination.
4. Orders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance.
5. Co-facilitate and coordinate all new hire orientation.
6. Plan all events for Ames employees.
7. Engage with all new hires on employee portals and resources.
8. Process all donation requests.
9. Input all employee trainings into OneLearning platform.
10. Build strong working relationships with all employees.
11. Assist Specialists with all recruiting efforts for hourly position openings within the Ames Plant.
12. Comply with the environmental policies and procedures at Barilla Ames facility including energy efficiency, reduce – re-use – recycle goals, reporting requirements and sustainable initiatives. Complete any environmental tasks as assigned and report environmental concerns immediately.
13. Follows ISO22000 policies and procedures, address / communicate quality and food safety issues as they occur.
14. Required to be a FSMA qualified individual, following all requirements from FSMA regulations
15. Ensure compliance and understanding for quality procedures that directly tie to food safety-PRPs, OPRPs, CCPs and FSMA requirements

Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information:

• Requires a HS diploma and 2-4 years human resources administrative experience.
• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Candidate must have excellent communication skills and good working relationships with other employees.
