Banner Alzheimer’s Institute seeks a Neuropsychologist with an interest or focus in neurodegenerative disorders. Candidates must possess a demonstrated commitment to compassionate patient care and work effectively in a collaborative environment. We are internationally recognized for clinical care including diagnostics and treatment evaluations, research opportunities, and Family and Community Services to provide support for affected persons, family caregivers, and our community. .
BAI conducts research, clinical care, prevention, and education in both memory and movement disorders. Since its founding in 2006, the work by our scientists, physicians, and clinicians has had a significant impact in generating ground-breaking research in these debilitating age-related diseases. Clinical research at BAI focuses on better ways to help detect, treat, and prevent Alzheimers disease. Clinical trials and research protocols focus on those who have been diagnosed with cognitive disorders as well those who do not have memory loss through our prevention efforts. BAI, together with its Arizona consortium partners, has been designated by the National Institutes of Health as one of just 31 Alzheimers Disease Centers in the nation.
Requirements and details of this exceptional opportunity include:
– Licensure in Psychology with post-doctoral specialization in Neuropsychology
– Experience with geriatrics
– Work schedule: M-F | 8a-5p| No Call
– Not a volume-based clinic; not held to RVU standards
– Outpatient practice with some research and/or mentoring students in projects
– Model of care that provides ample time for meaningful patient visits
– Opportunity to split time between clinical & research activity; division of efforts dependent on experience and professional objectives
– Supervision and training of pre-doctoral (1-4) and post-doctoral (2) students
– Support staff includes a scheduler, front & back staff, psychometrists, clinical research coordinators & assistants
