Overview:

Avenica is currently recruiting for an Entry Level Claims Assistant. The ideal candidate for this position is someone interested in gaining experience in client relations, communications, general business, and insurance. In this role, Assistant will coordinate the renewal process for the underwriter, reviews renewal submission for technical completeness, and follows up with the producer for missing information. Responsibilities of the Claims Assistant:

• Supporting the underwriting process for multiple lines of insurance coverage
• Contributes to the achievement of customer group or financial lines goals, as well as corporate goals relating to growth, profit, renewal retention, rate, exposure, service and producer relationships.
• Enter and maintain accurate account information in detailed record system
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with underwriters, customers and business partners to provide high quality service to clients.
• Provide top-notch customer service by maintaining a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
• Analyzes renewal account-specific information (including, but not limited to, loss information, financials, application).
• Utilizing underwriting analysis template and documents template with renewal changes for referral to the underwriter.
• Coordinates the quotation process and completes quote letter for referral to the underwriter.

Requirements of the Claims Assistant:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals, strengthening relationships to achieve best possible solutions
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the US; Avenica is unable to provide sponsorship at this time
• Ability to understand client and business partner needs and challenges and apply a creative and logical approach to identify solutions
• Strong attention to detail while managing multiple concurrent project deadlines
• Prior customer service experience in retail, restaurant, or other business situations
