Automotive Supplier Company Hiring for Shipping Coordinator Job at Chillicothe, OH Full Time

Shipping Coordinator – For manufacturer of automotive body & chassis products.

This role is responsible for shipment of products, outbound freight and air shipments to include international shipping as well. This position requires a strong focus on administrative duties/responsibilities to include, record organization and retention. This role ideally seeks someone with a strong customer service mindset and a high level of multitasking skills. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

• Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods used.
• Assembles orders, confirms shippers and verifies customer orders.
• Responsible for accurately performing inventory transactions.
• Self-sufficient in routine assigned tasks and capable of independent follow-up related to these tasks.
• Ensures on-time delivery of product.
• Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders
• Keeps organized shipping records, including statements of origin, shipping costs, products shipped, and receipt dates
• Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service
• Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency
• Develops knowledge about freight and shipping regulations and practices
• Capable of following instructions and achieving productivity targets.
• Utilizes basic math and problem solving abilities.
• Ensures that all responsibilities and functions performed are in accordance with company policy and procedures and meet required quality standards.
• Reports all non-conformances to appropriate levels.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with MS Word and MS Excel
• SAP experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
