Atlantic Health System (AHS) is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Overlook Medical Center (OMC) in Summit, NJ. The CMO will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. They will provide clinical leadership, expertise, and perspective to the senior leadership team as well as the medical staff and other team members across the organization. In addition to providing leadership and expertise in support of clinical activities and clinical quality, the CMO will play an important role in the development and execution of business strategies that will support the accomplishment of goals of AHS across the enterprise.
The CMO will promote shared accountability between physicians and the system for the benefit of patients, providers, and the community. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison and advocate to create long term collaborations and relationships between the medical staff, OMC and Atlantic Health leadership and the board of directors. The role includes maintaining a high level of clinical credibility within the hospital. The CMO will report to the Senior Vice President, AHS/President, OMC, as well as the EVP, Chief Clinical Officer, AHS.
