Developmental Specialist, Early Intervention, Full and Part-time openings

Up to $5,000 Sign on Bonus depending on experience

Aspire is expanding, we are looking for a Development Specialist capable of visiting a diverse population with a variety of diagnoses, providing in home services for infants and toddlers. We serve North Shore families with children under the age of three who are not reaching age-appropriate milestones, diagnosed with certain conditions, or have medical or social histories which may put them at risk for a developmental delay. EI services are meant to help support families and caregivers and to enhance the development and learning of infants and toddlers. Early intervention services include, but are not limited to: developmental evaluations and assessments, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language therapy, nutrition services, psychological services and social work services. Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) are developed for eligible children and their families. The plan outlines the services and supports the family in meeting the individual needs of their child.

Responsibilities / Skills Required

• Home Early Intervention, work one-on-one with clients and families in their own environment, making services completely relevant to the patient’s needs and goals.
• Participate in a transdisciplinary collaborative team approach; IFSP’s, intakes, developmental evaluations and facilitating playgroups
• Experience working with children under the age of 3
• Strong writing and verbal communications skills to effectively work with clients, their families, staff and management
• Ability to independently organize, manage and prioritize tasks including; clinical caseload and scheduling
• Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team
• Computer Skills: Outlook, MS Office, Google Docs
• Must be able to lift and move children up to 40 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Bilingual a plus but not required
