The Arlington Public Schools is accepting applications from applicants interested in teaching Grade 4 at the Bishop Elementary School for the 2022-2023 School Year.
Candidates for elementary teaching positions must be appropriately licensed for the position. Candidates must also be collaborative professionals who will work with grade level teams and regular and special educators throughout the School and District. Must love working with children and be willing to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students in the classroom. In addition, Arlington expects teachers to work diligently and collaboratively to implement the District’s approved curriculum for all subjects.
Arlington has a well established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year. Arlington values diversity. We strongly encourage candidates of varied backgrounds, including people of color, persons with disabilities and others to apply.
The official contractual start day for teachers for the 2022-2023 school year is August 31, 2022. However, new teachers must attend curriculum development meetings and orientation during the last two weeks of August.
All employees must have a criminal background check – CORI and Fingerprinting – prior to beginning work in Arlington.
