Position Summary:

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to perform our day-to-day accounting transactions in accounts payable and accounts receivable. Responsibilities include processing vendor invoices, 3 way accounting matching, creating customer invoices, monitoring customer accounts, opening mail, and supporting cost accountant. If you have an accounting background, a “can do attitude” and enjoy a small team environment, this is the position for you.

Responsibilities

• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Create and modify new customer accounts
• Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed.
• Monitor and contact past due customers
• Correlate checks – assist with move to automated process
• Assist in the cost accounting function.
• Participate in the annual audits.

Requirements

• Work experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
• Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
• Familiarity with accounting software (Fourth Shift a major plus)
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour
