Job Summary:Aptive is seeking a full-time HR Generalist with an interest in specializing in performance management and career development to join our People Operations department located at Aptive’s HQ in Alexandria, VA, though a hybrid of in-person and remote work.
Collaborating with key stakeholders across departments and functions, this role will be focused on supporting, coordinating or leading general HR tasks including (but not limited to) employee relations, engagement and retention; benefits administration; performance management; risk management; and have an operational understanding of U.S. employment laws, regulations and requirements.
This position is best suited for a person who easily connects with people to understand their perspective. You should be articulate, comfortable with explaining policies and procedures and have a collaborative mindset. As a self-starter, you should be able to prioritize competing tasks efficiently, value open communication and a team environment and be able to handle sensitive and/or confidential topics with discretion.
