Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. In this highly visible role, your primary responsibility is to lead in the business aspects of EDA Licensing Administration as part of the Infrastructure CAD Team. You will coordinate with engineering and EDA Procurement teams evaluating license needs and yearly planning. You will use license forecasting and tracking to provide guidance for purchasing. Technical areas of responsibility include vendor license maintenance, management and deployment from evaluation to production. Assist other team members with triage/debug of user licensing issues. Additional responsibilities include working on and specifying automation to improve the license administration process.
Key Qualifications
- Typically requires at least 10+ years of industry experience
- Experience of Flexlm and other license vendor daemons required
- Experience with EDA vendor license format/syntax and parsing/reporting
- Experience specifying/driving web-based reporting and data visualization
- Good scripting skills in Perl, Python, TCL or Shell
- Proficient in Linux
- Ability to handle a high engineering support load and co-ordinate with multiple users and management across multiple teams and time-zones
Description
– Co-ordinate and manage vendor license installation, deployment and allocation across multiple sites and time-zones – Track license expirations and renewals – Provide real time and historical reports for license usage – Assist with license forecast data collection and analysis – Triage and troubleshoot FlexLM and vendor license daemon issues – Interface with EDA Procurement and Legal Depts – Initiate and track EDA License PR’s/PO’s; use knowledge of purchase agreements to advise engineering decisions regarding tools available – Provide data on purchasing from key vendors – Specify, create and maintain scripts and other automation for license infrastructure support
Education & Experience
BS or MS with understanding of Chip Design Industry/Flows
