Position Summary
The Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for the delivery of enrollment services to prospective, new, and continuing students, including but not limited to those delivered by the following college service areas: Admissions and Enrollment Development, Records and Registration, Financial Aid, Enrollment Systems, Veterans Educational Benefits, Response Center, and Arundel Mills, Glen Burnie Town Center, and Ft. Meade sites. As a member of the Learner Support Services administrative team, the Associate Vice President provides expert guidance to develop and implement comprehensive enrollment strategies to achieve student recruitment and retention goals. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, the Associate Vice President collaborates with Learning, Strategic Communications, Planning, Research, Institutional Assessment, Information and Instructional Technologies, and other key stakeholders to meet enrollment goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide administrative leadership of college enrollment functions, including admissions, financial aid, veteran’s benefits, records, registration, military enrollment, response center, student communications, college catalog, multiple college sites, commencement, and related services. Ensure institutional adherence to critical federal, state, and institutional compliance mandates, including cost center management, related to student enrollment and functional areas of oversight.
Analyze, interpret, and monitor enrollment data, market trends, and demographic information to identify strategic interventions to enhance student recruitment and retention. Develop specific targets for success around enrollment and retention, provide data-driven recommendations, and consistently revisit outcomes for continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-campus entities to enhance student engagement, persistence, and success.
In collaboration with the Vice President for Learner Support Services, develop and maintain a Strategic Enrollment Management plan that is learner-centered and reflects and aligns with the college’s strategic plan, priorities, and goals.
Collaborate with academic departments and other stakeholders (deans, directors, and faculty) to ensure alignment between enrollment targets and program offerings. Partner with Learning on implementing the schedule of credit-bearing and developmental classes, including the assignment of classrooms, class start and end dates and times, and a number of instructional minutes to develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated enrollment system.
Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive learner-centered enrollment policies, programs and services that streamline processes, eliminate barriers, and enhance the overall student experience.
Cultivate relationships with K-12 school systems, community organizations, businesses, and nontraditional stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts and community engagement.
Serve as a member of the LSS administrative team responsible for developing and implementing division-wide initiatives.
Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in enrollment management to enhance innovation in enrollment initiatives and monitor the Student Information System.
Ensure that curriculum requirements are clearly presented to applicants and students in a manner that is easy to understand and allows for institutions considering receipt of transfer credit to make fully informed decisions.
Represent the college at conferences, workshops, and other stakeholder events to promote enrollment initiatives and network with enrollment management professionals.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher
At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in an enrollment-related function (e.g., enrollment services, enrollment management, admissions, financial aid, or records and registration)
Proven success in meeting enrollment targets and implementing strategic initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess outcomes, and make data-driven decisions
Understanding of regulatory compliance issues related to enrollment management, including FERPA and Title IV funding
Knowledge of enrollment management technologies, CRM systems, and data analytics tools.
Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.
Evidence of commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and anti-racism in enrollment services.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Multiple years of experience delivering services to students at a community college
Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving acumen.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders collegewide.
