We’re searching for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team to help manage customer credit, release orders and invoices, and process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Objectives of the Role

• Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts.
• Communicate discrepancies to management team, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection strategies.
• Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts.
• Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting and comply with national and local financial requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Billing/Invoicing
• Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
• Perform daily cash management duties, including maintaining precise records of all incoming payments, preparation & recording of bank deposits, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
• Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries.
• Reconcile any irregularities in receipts.
• Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions with proper documentation. Relay changes of information to appropriate employees.
• Create reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
• Collect customer information to evaluate their credit worthiness.
• Work collaboratively with other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances.
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements: Education and Experience

• Degree preferred, but not required.
• Three to five years of accounts receivable or administrative experience required.
• Must have basic Microsoft Office experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience in working on an enterprise level ERP system.
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple assignments.
• Professional approach, utilizing good judgment and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; does not take unneeded risk.
• Ability to work independently, positive attitude and a team player.
