We are looking for an Operations Excellence professional to make a significant impact on cost, quality, and the customer experience in Amazon Pharmacy. This role calls for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, embraces team work, and is willing to Dive Deep to get to the root cause of problems. The right candidate is a Continuous Improvement professional who can use their tool kit to build a top-down strategy and can execute bottoms-up improvement initiatives that moves the needle on critical metrics.
Success will require a high level of organization and independence. Since it will be impossible for this individual to be an SME in all processes and areas, they must excel in stakeholder engagement. The right candidate has a strong Lean background and is able to problem solve and develop solutions by getting the right team together and facilitate kaizen. The right person for this role has an open mind, is an adept practitioner of Lean tools, and can earn trust and influence senior leaders to engage and implement improvement initiatives. In order to be successful, the right candidate must create continuous improvement systems, processes, and mechanisms to drive cost and defect reduction. This individual must be able to run large CI projects, and also mentor junior leaders to learn and leverage lean.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Manage a portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives
* Prioritize projects in order to meet organizational goals
* Engage stakeholders to deep dive and find the right solutions.
* Find and highlight continuous improvement opportunities
* Mentor those new to Lean
* Partner with finance, quality, operations, and process engineering to ensure coordinated effort and alignment to top level goals
Basic qualifications
* Technical (Math, Engineering, Science) Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience in a Lean or Continuous Improvement role
* 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
* Experience deploying transformational improvements and knowledge of Lean concepts including standardization, variation reduction, waste reduction, flow and structured problem solving
* Experience influencing change across multiple organizations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tell a story with data
* Strong organizational skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
* Ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
* Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems, showing a track record of making business decisions using relevant data and insights
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired

– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
– 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
