As a Windows Systems Administrator, you will design, develop, modify, manage, adapt and implement short- and long-term solutions to IT needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture and applications infrastructure to meet business demands. This position will be required to coordinate with vendors and support teams on problem resolution, design issues, upgrades and middleware installations. A strong understanding of Microsoft environments and its server network, Windows Server 2012 to the most current version of Windows Server, Microsoft update services, anti-virus, print server environment, and working in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

• Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Active Directory domains in a multi-server domain/forest
• Writes Windows Power Shell scripts for automation or maintenance
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers in a VMware environment
• Installation/maintenance of desktop applications.
• Support of all desktop hardware and software including mobile devices using MDM – Microsoft Intune
• Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as Systems Administrator with experience in managing Windows, Network and Desktop environments.
• Hands-on experience with modern operating systems and server platforms.
• Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
• Experience with physical and virtual server environments, such as x86 and VMware
• Strong experience administrating Active Directory at an enterprise level.
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments.
• Good understanding of MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune for computers and mobile devices.
• Experience creating scripts in VB, PowerShell, Python, and similar languages.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot advanced technical issues.
• Expertise with remote desktop applications and desktop support software.
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and work collaboratively with Agency technical teams as well as Agency leadership and business unit management when required.
• Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
• Must exhibit strong customer service relationship abilities.
• Must possess critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses and can seek alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
• Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL Foundation including incident management, system support, policy and procedure development, and problem management processes

Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
