Job Summary

Working primarily as a member of the support the software development team, optimize the development life cycle, working independently to design automated build and deployment capabilities for products under development, including direct access capabilities in the build, test, deploy, operate, and measure project phases. Serve as a subject matter expert with cloud, containerization, infrastructure as code, observability, and scripting, interacting with microservice architectures, cloud providers, and other innovative resources (i.e., Kubernetes).

Success employees typically have five years of technical computer networking experience and advanced knowledge and experience of AWS, AWS Aurora, Lambdas, AWS SQS, Redis, and AWS IOT. Required to have a minimum of five years of technical computer networking in an enterprise level, customer-facing work environment, may have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering, or related field.

This is a full-time, exempt role and is a member of the Product Development department reporting directly to the Director of Software Development with a preferred location of Raleigh, NC; however, a remote work arrangement may be considered.

Allbridge is currently operating under a hybrid work model, allowing colleagues the opportunity to connect with others in person and the flexibility to work remotely. For some business groups and positions, job function requirements may require more time at the primary work location, while greater flexibility may be in place for others.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Working as a member of the software development team and closely collaborating with the engineering teams, enhance the software development lifecycle, setting expectations to deliver high quality digital solutions, operational awareness, and systematic configuration management practices.
• Consistently work to be an integral part of the team of software developers, test analysts, and product owners.
• Optimize the development life cycle, working independently to design automated build and deployment capabilities for products under development, including direct access capabilities in the build, test, deploy, operate, and measure project phases.
• Serve as a subject matter expert with cloud, containerization, infrastructure as code, observability, and scripting, interacting with microservice architectures, cloud providers, and other innovative resources (i.e., Kubernetes).
• Work independently to support the investigation of complex, technical and security challenges inhibiting overall software performance.
• Capture relevant data and measure progress and critical data points throughout various stages of the development project (i.e., development, testing, deployment, availability, integrity, incidents, health check, performance, etc.) improving operational efficiency and reducing time to market for software products and services.
• Support implementation of standards and best practices related to system architecture, deployment, KPI’s and operational health
• Deliver work product that is focused on improving system performance, effective and efficient application delivery through automation, process refinement, post-mortem reviews, and broad configuration analysis.
• Work in collaboration with the internal IT team to support the execution of professional and effective project management.
• Work independently to set expectations that implementations are rolled out with careful due diligence and always focus on quality of work, preventing any potential network failure or re-work actions. Has authority to delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.
• May also make recommendations and contribute to building the internal company technology program. In some cases, may act as the last line of support for the customer service and field operations departments.
• Keep abreast of related technological advancements, focusing on proactively anticipating business needs and adding value to the team and projects.

Required Qualifications

• Preference, but not required to have successful completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, information technology, network engineering, management, or another related field.
• Required to have a minimum of five years of technical computer networking in an enterprise level, customer-facing work environment. Hospitality experience in a network environment a plus.
• Required to have advanced knowledge and experience of most or all the following: AWS, AWS Aurora, Lambdas, AWS SQS, Redis, and AWS IOT.
• Required to have demonstrated intermediate level PC skills with the ability to effectively operate within a Windows Operating System and Windows based programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Project.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communications skillsin the English language.
• Think critically – use logic and analysis to identify the potential enhancements and flaws in security measures.
• Consistently demonstrates the aptitude to make pragmatic decisions to resolve problems, seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice
• Analyze, interpret, and present research and meaningful data in clear, concise reports.
• Must be able to work effectively as a team member in a fast paced, and high-volume work environment, operating with a high level of detail and conscientiousness.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
