Customer Base Sales Leader
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve team sales goal for Workday customer base, optimization, and HCM & Payroll related Administration Outsourcing Services to Workday’s prospects in Majors and LE markets.
Collaborates with Delivery team and Solutions Leader to ensure mutual understanding of opportunity and the ability to deliver a successful service while supporting overarching revenue and margin targets.
Coaches and leads a team of sales executives on deal strategy, creative solutioning and deal execution.
Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with Workday (Sales, innovation, etc.) and partners with them to drive Workday and Alight mutual growth.
Identifies and generates demand within new markets and focuses on developing strategic initiatives to drive growth to Workday’s footprint, leading to new Alight opportunities.
Sets and executes the sales strategy and plan for customer base opportunities focusing on targeted organizations where a net new opportunity is likely to exist.
Demonstrates strong sales execution ability, crafting and presenting client offers and helping the Alight sales team identify and navigate alternative paths to making the sale.
Collects and communicates market intelligence on products/services, incorporates it into sales client planning process, and shares with the Alight community.
Maximizes the use (both individually and with the team) of sanctioned tools including, but not limited to, Salesforce.com.
Shapes the ‘Alight’ product solutions narrative – Alight’s unique positioning and ability to deliver best in class solutions to clients.
Understands the competitive landscape and customer needs to effectively position Workday Deployment Services and HCM & Payroll Administration Outsourcing Services
Assists sales team in Identifying the customer need and the most suitable value propositions, potential product solutions, service fits, partner configurations, cost structures and revenue models for identified target markets.
Knowledge and Experience:
Sales Skills – Exhibit excellent skills throughout all stages of a consultative selling process, including pipeline management, strong negotiation skills and the ability to close opportunities. They should be able to sell value over price by providing deep insight about how the service will impact the client’s business and outcomes.
Entrepreneurial/Create Spirit – Embraces work through capitalizing on opportunities to help with growth and expansion of the organization while demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Subject Matter Expertise and Functional Knowledge – Knowledge of various components of the Workday technology and broad content knowledge of human capital management, payroll and financial delivery and solutions. Will need to develop a thorough understanding of all Alight products and services in their portfolio and associated value engineering assets.
Relationship Management – Demonstrates strong client-facing skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and information and to respond promptly and effectively to all inquiries. Build strong relationships at multiple levels in a potential client company, including the C-suite, with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor to that organization. Individual will also need to maintain productive, internal relationships to leverage those resources when necessary.
Communication/Project Management – Ability to manage multiple, complex sales processes at the same time. They need very strong internal and external communication skills, with the ability to listen comprehensively and deliver clear instructions and/or recommendations.
Team Leadership – Strives to be a role model for colleagues they work with closely in the organization and have an interest in the team’s success. They should be willing to proactively work together to overcome obstacles and share best practices across the team.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Advanced Degree is preferred and/or equivalent work-related experience and success.
10+ years direct selling experience with demonstrated sales success with cloud software and/or solution architect experience in the Cloud solutions
Experience running large, complex sales processes into organizations with over 5,000 employees
Workday deployment and optimization sales and/or HCM or Payroll outsourcing services selling experience
