The Sr. Payroll Specialist partners daily with Airgas managers and associates to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. This role is responsible for directly processing Canadian payroll as well as providing support as needed for the weekly and bi-weekly US payrolls. Other payroll responsibilities includes supplemental file loads, payroll auditing, retro pay, calculating/confirming pay runs, and ensuring timely and accurate pre/post reconciliations in alignment with business practices.
The Sr. Payroll Specialist will also provide support to the Accounting team and other teams through Payroll reporting and assistance with inquiries. The Sr. Payroll Specialist should be a subject matter expert in resolving complex payroll issues and a point of escalation for the business if there are issues. The Sr. Payroll Specialist is also skilled at training less experienced associates in Airgas payroll practices. The successful candidate will help to assess our current processes and apply best practices to make them even better.
