Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager for Human Resources & Workplace (HR & WP) Project Management Office is responsible for the oversight and execution of a portfolio of projects in line with top HR, Employee Health & Safety, Workplace Facilities and People Strategy Objectives for Airbus in the North America Region. By deploying a collaborative, empowering, transparent and standardized project methodology the Sr. Manager for HR & WP PMO will help modernize core HR & WP Functions, with a constant aim of enhancing employee experience and effectiveness across the organization. The Sr. Manager for HR & WP PMO Office will report to the Head of HR & Workplace Shared Services for North America and work in partnership with all Regional Centers of Expertise (COE’s), Strategic Business partners, Global Partners and Vendors. The HR & WP PMO may lead teams or projects and will share expertise across a complex matrix organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Sr. Manager HR & WP PMO will provide governance and oversight for the full HR, Employee Health & Safety and Workplace Facilities Project portfolio in a consultative manner as well as through a hands-on approach managing and driving high profile, high impact projects from initial concept through final implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Project Intake, Governance and Oversight: 40%
Assess new project/programs including scope, timeline, budget, benefits, RASCI, approvers and success measures. Provide current state analysis and future state recommendations at key tollgates that span the complete project management portfolio.
Utilizing the standard project methodology, manage large scale, high profile or high impact HR projects from project initiation, through successful change management and final implementation.
Establish the project management methodology for Airbus HR & WP North America covering all divisions in the region. Design project intake success criteria, dashboards, controls and reporting requirements.
Define project intake success criteria and establish the overall project management methodology. Train and provide functional leadership to HR Project Managers and HR Leaders on Project Management methodology.
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education: A university degree or equivalent experience.
PMP Certification preferred
Experience:
15 years prior relevant experience, or
An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years’ related experience.
