Job Summary
AGM Imports, based in Hardeeville, South Carolina, your complete source for all types of stone products, is seeking a full-time Accounting/HR Administrator to join our team. This position is looking to be filled immediately.
The Accounting/HR Administrator is responsible for supporting and assisting the Accounting and HR team. This role will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other administrative duties supporting the HR function. The Accounting/HR Administrator strives to provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist Accounting & HR in educating employees and managers on policies and procedures relating to disbursements,
· Review credit card expense reports for accuracy and completeness,
· Assist with preparation of annual 1099’s,
· Maintain vendor files, including contracts for services and paid items,
· Prepare invoices as needed,
· Prepare bank deposits and make bank runs,
· Maintain customer files,
· Generate internal and external reports from accounting systems as needed,
· Assist in resolving discrepancies and irregularities,
· Assist with ensuring compliance with IRS and other governmental laws and regulations,
· Manage employee documentation such as Employee Handbook,
· Data collection, preparation of employee census information for compliance reports,
· Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and helping resolve work-related problems,
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required,
· 1-3 years of human resource experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a human resource/accounting clerk role,
· Extremely detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently and accurately under minimal supervision,
· Proven experience as an assistant, staff assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position,
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are tactful and diplomatic,
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, able to respond to changing priorities,
· Able to respond effectively to telephone and in-person inquiries,
· Maintain the confidentiality of information,
· Technology and accounting systems savvy,
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications required,
· General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures,
· Good understanding of financial accounting concepts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and HR processes,
· Analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills, which allows for strategic data interpretation vs. simple reporting and/or processing,
· Ability and desire to translate financial concepts to individuals at all levels throughout the organization,
AGM Imports offers a competitive salary package as well as medical and dental benefits. We offer a 401(k)-retirement savings plan with a company match of 6%. We also offer PTO based on time of service and goes into effect after the 90-day introductory period.
