Position: Hardware Engineer
Location: On-site in Sunnyvale
Pay rate: $90-120/hour
Working with SW and FW engineers; and help in building and preparing custom benchmarking code.
Perform board-level power measurement of Compute IP cores (DSP & CPU) of SoC devices, while running various workloads.
Debug power measurement lab systems; identify sources of measurement errors and take steps in removing them
Correlate the measured power with simulated (RTL, Netlist) data
Post-process the measured data, e.g. by extracting targeted IP power data from baseline, filter measurement noise.
Subsequently extract meaningful information for presentation, as well as documenting them
5+ Years of experience of board level power measurements at labo
Familiar with CPU or DSP power measurements (device level) at labo
Familiar with lab equipment for data acquisition, debug probe, data post-processing and others
Some experience with C/C++ coding for benchmark code development/modification
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with embedded CPU/DSP such as ARM, TI, Tensilica or Hexagon DSP
Experience with Lotherbuch debugger probe, NIDAQ Data acquisition equipment
Matlab, Python, Perl (or similar) scripting and data-post-processing tools
Excel for model fitting, data visualization and analysis
Diagnostic code development in C/C++ language
Experience with PTPX power flow and RTL/Gate simulation
