Actalent’s client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work on new products, working on hardware, PCB and circuit design.
This position requires recent experience working in Altium.
This is a mostly remote position but there will be weeks where the Engineer needs to be in the Milwaukee office 2-3 days in a week.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for product design and rapid development of products and hardware development.
Assist in the development during the full product life cycle.
Help support and maintain existing products as they are developed
Independently drive solutions to completion
Connect with and coordinate with engineers in multiple sites
Ensure these projects follow the appropriate standard process used (such as 3D and agile).
Develop functional block diagram for hardware design risk assessment
Hardware design & manage PCBA build
Circuit design, simulation and analysis
Circuit and product risk assessment (P Diagram, FMEA)
Develop BOM, product costing and manage PCBA build
Product development, validation, regulatory and production planning
Develop project plan for system development
Create validation plan for device and lead risk assessment for manufacturing
Review product assembly flow plan for controls and containment
Support product approval for production
Collaborate with other functions such as sourcing, operations, customer support, etc. to ensure on-time product launches as well as post-launch support.
Execute project to established timeline with tight budgetary controls
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional experience in hardware circuit design & development.
Altium experience
Internship or professional experience in schematic capture, simulation, pcb stack and layout build.
