Absolute Staffing, LLC Hiring for Payroll Specialist Job at Milford, CT Full Time

Note: This is a long-term TEMPORARY position, based out of Milford, CT with some flexibilitiy for ‘remote/work from home’ (commutable distance to Milford, CT)

General Summary

This position is responsible for the processing and support of payroll for multiple companies, making journal entries, assisting managers/employees with inquiries, running payroll reports, and special projects as assigned. The Payroll Associate will field day to day questions and report to the Payroll Manager.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Payroll processing (ADPVantage HCM) for multiple companies and states

· Time and Attendance review and monitoring, including vacation accrual and sick time analysis

· Employee wage garnishment processing

· Journal entry preparation and input to facilitate timely financial month end closings

· Applicable General Ledger account reconciliations

· Quarterly multiple worksite reporting

· Support all interim and yearend financialaudits

· Prepare for annual workers compensation audit

· Perform related duties as required

Required Skills & Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Some college or Bachelor degree preferred

· 2 – 4 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting and Human Resources

· Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system (ADP/HCM); ADP Vantage preferred

· Proficiency inMicrosoft Office/Excel is required

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

· Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

· Candidate must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated and possess good communication skills

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
