ABM Looking for SEC External Reporting Senior Manager at New York, NY  Full Time

As a member of the Corporate Finance department, the SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting in ensuring regulatory compliance with SEC reporting requirements and ensuring adherence to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements and any other newly emerging FASB and regulatory requirements.

Pay: 150,000 -165,000 – The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and the related XBRL requirements, as well as support our quarterly earnings release workstream and other internal reporting processes
• Manage the quarterly reporting process, research key accounting topics, and prioritize general day-to-day activities
• Review detailed footnote support files, disclosure checklists, quarterly memos
• Manage a team of two people
• Work cross functionally with the finance organization, including the controllership, corporate accounting, corporate FP&A, equity administration, investor relations, treasury and tax teams
• Manage the relationship with external auditors, and maintain and provide support to the audit team for walkthrough procedures and manage audit support requests as they pertain to the SEC reporting and technical accounting workstreams
• Perform accounting research and interpretations for unique and complex transactions, such as, restructuring or reorganization activities, mergers and acquisitions, investments in minority interests, hedging transactions and other ad hoc topics
• Prepare MD&A disclosures, investor decks etc
• Assist with various special projects as needed
• Hybrid position – downtown NYC location

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA license (or in pursuit of)
• 3-4 years in public accounting or other relevant experience
• Big 4 experience is preferred
• Good Time Management
• Willingness to learn
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
