Designer / CAD Draftsman

JOB OVERVIEW

Let’s tap into your creative potential in a fast-paced manufacturing environment! A Complete Assembly is currently seeking a highly organized and motivated team member to work as a Designer, CAD Draftsman and project manager. Duties include supporting residential and commercial new construction projects, creating shop drawing packages, and designing custom products, interacting with both steel and aluminum shops to maintain production schedules and deadlines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with leadership team to design and support development of custom products
• Coordinate with shops to ensure material builds are on schedule and per design prints
• Field activities to ensure initial designs and final installations are per plans
• Seek to refine current systems and processes
• Research alternate material selections, ordering and pricing
• Ability to take workt asks from cradle to grave
• Facilitate daily interaction between customers needs and manufacturing floor production
• coordinate projects from cradle to grave

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly proficient with AutoCAD software and 3D modeling
• Proficient in ANSI standards for developing manufacturing prints
• 5+ years Design experience
• 5+ years Shop production experience a plus
• Previous shop supervisor a plus
• Working knowledge of current Florida Building Code
• Problem Solver who can work unsupervised
• Highly Organized and deadline driven
• Ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environments
• Proven ability to manage a team, handle multiple priorities, organize efficiently, and manage time effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
