The candidate should be able to perform daily closed room activities, e.g. ensure systems are operational, transfer data, ensure backups are complete and work well with other IT specialists supporting engineering customers. It is preferred that the candidate be able to support Windows and Linux systems for application serving, licensing, backups, auditing and monitoring.
In support of projects, the candidate will validate requirements and provide User Acceptance Testing of the implemented project design. Additionally, candidate maintains knowledge of classified network standards and policies, so contributions align with security requirements. The candidate will ensure that the BAE Systems Classified Network are operating efficiently so that all service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved.
The candidate will need to be eligible to receive a security clearance within 3 months of hire date or have an active Secret clearance.
CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) may be required to work in some of the customer labs, and preference will be given to candidates who hold this certificate.
