The Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence (GovEx) at Johns Hopkins University seeks a seasoned Executive Assistant to provide expert administrative support to the Executive Director and members of her executive team, and to manage the Executive Director’s schedule and engagements. The Executive Assistant will have high visibility with university leaders, partners, collaborators and donors, as well as with high-profile visitors and will be the Executive Director’s primary point of contact responsible for scheduling engagements and communicating with executives and senior leadership from within JHU, and among partners, donors and external stakeholders.
The position requires a highly skilled individual who can manage multiple priorities and deadlines while providing a high level of service to the Executive Director. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating busy executive-level calendars, will be committed to GovEx’s mission, and will exhibit a positive attitude while conducting business with a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Executive Director and is expected to work in close collaboration with and support other senior members of the GovEx team and other staff, as needed. The Executive Assistant must be willing to consider how reimagined government, knowledge, and engagement models may contribute towards the dismantling of these legacies.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
