Purpose/Summary
This is a Grant-funded position that is a Temporary one-year position.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The CCD Testing Center is largest testing center facility within the Rocky Mountain region and is NCTA accredited. The Testing Center provides test management services to internal and external clients of the Community College of Denver. The overarching focus of the Testing Center is to achieve a comfortable and secure environment for individual and group testing activities to include physical room monitoring and camera monitoring systems. As such, the testing center interfaces with vendor providers and external candidates, internal candidates, fiscal, operational, and academic areas. The primary focus of the department is test administration, compliance, proctoring and scoring of the basic skills assessment tests, class testing (approved retakes and accommodated tests) for faculty including on-line courses, courtesy testing for off-campus agencies, other colleges and universities, and credit for prior-learning exams such as CLEP and DANTES. The Testing Center also offers “high-stakes” and certification testing (ETS, TOEFL, Praxis, GRE…) and other vendor clients as needed.
The purpose of this position is to participate in the administration, proctoring and scoring of all of a variety of proctored tests. This person assists in ensuring the security of testing materials and equipment, and that all testing policies and procedures are followed as instructed by vendor client and in keeping with federal and state laws as well as FERPA. This person performs routine office tasks such as typing, filing, answering phones, greeting test takers, oversee and administer all forms of proctored exams.

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution (psychology, education, special education or other related field). An earned high school diploma or GED with 6 months of testing services experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree.

Able to demonstrate verbally or in written format the general computer competency (testing programs, student information system, assistive technology, MS Word, limited MS Excel spreadsheet use), test scoring equipment, monitor video cameras in testing rooms, telephone, fax, and copy machine.
