Inventory Control Specialist

Position Purpose and Responsibilities:
Assist with implementation of new ERP system
Analyze inventory reports, determine order quantities and place orders
Assists Director of Purchasing in writing purchase orders and managing inventory levels
Follow up and expedite urgent or delayed orders
Manage vendors and hold them accountable to meet deadlines and quality specifications
Provide oversight of inventory levels in support of sales, supply chain and planning
Contribute to warehouse inventory reconciliation with research and resolution
Locate alternate sources for delayed or back ordered product
Qualifications:
3-5 years in a purchasing/inventory control environment
Heavy ERP system experience (able to understand, leverage information, analyze the date and make recommendations/decisions from an ERP system)
Must have a purchasing personality including being confident, analytical, fast paced, crisp in communications and very organized.
Must also be highly committed, accurate, accountable and responsible.
Requires strong command of business concepts, processes and operations.
Requires flexibility, initiative and responsibility.
Able to work independently to solve problems
