Job Description:

The Production/Customer Service Representative serves as the primary contact to SKF customers. The production/customer service rep is responsible for reviewing customer purchase orders and transmitting the requirements throughout the repair station through the creation of work packages. Process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.

Production Technician Responsibilities:

• Provide support to all matters relevant to the production process in order to ensure timely delivery of quality products to customer.
• Collaborate with customer service, production, quality, and planner to maintain product flow.
• Perform dispositioning of work packages through the inspection and repair process.
• Facilitate the transfer of product through the repair process from receiving through inspection, repair, and shipment.
• Assist in management of external vendors to ensure product is being serviced to defined work-scope on time and at required quality.
• Support production planning to ensure component inventories are optimized based quantities and variations to the forecasted repair demand.
• Assist in ensuring all gaging and tooling are properly maintained and kept current.
• Assist in the implementation of best-practices and digitalization of work packages and production flow.
• Provide manufacturing support on an as-needed basis.

Customer Service Support Responsibilities:

• Serve as the backup contact to the customers.
• Review Purchase Orders for compliance and repair requirements.
• Create workflow packages for incoming purchase orders.
• Establish/maintain business relationship with customer to provide feedback with records.
• Verifies capability approval prior to acceptance and work start.
• Verifies return to service content is specified correctly.
• Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account information.
• Process customer price adjustments and credits.
• Prepares service reports for customers.
• Back-up POC for shipping broker for international customers.
• Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Resolve customer complaints via phone and email.
• Use telephones and email to reach out to customers and verify account information.
• Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in a customer-service oriented manufacturing environment.
• HS diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years’ experience in communication and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing process and planning requirements.
• Proficient in bearing design, concepts, geometries.
• Read/Write English.
