Full-Time Math Teacher

• Able to meet the standards for certification as a teacher in the Archdiocese of Trenton

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide a quality education in a Catholic environment
• Commit to ongoing professional development in the spirit of continuous improvement
• Develop rigorous and appropriate lesson plans, assignments, and assessments in cooperation with St. Rose school-based leadership and curricular resources developed by St. Rose’s Academic Team
• Work closely with school leaders to analyze student assessment data to measure progress and use data to inform instruction
• Collaborate in grade level teams to discuss student work, share best practices, plan events for joy and humor, and ensure student mastery of standards
• Engage families in their children’s faith development and education by building relationships and maintaining regular communication

Preferred:

• Experience teaching in a high school, with demonstrated expertise in differentiated instruction
• Experience using technology to extend and enhance learning, preferably with G Suite for Education (Google Apps)
• Familiarity with the Doctrinal Elements of a Curriculum Framework for the Development of Catechetical Materials for People of High School Age

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required with a record of personal, professional, and/or academic achievement
• Teacher certification
• Commitment to and experience working with underserved communities
• Determination to drive student achievement and set high expectations for all students
• Demonstrated expertise in subject area
