What will you do in this role?
- Functions as a point of contact for employee hardware/software concerns by entering request details in our corporate request system
- Utilizes customer service skills to address complex questions and troubleshoot hardware/software requests to reach a resolution
- Maintains accurate hardware asset inventory for remote and on-site employees
- Receives and processes service desk requests that can be addressed by following standard procedures for first call resolution
- Documents problem and resolution in service desk system and employee knowledge-base
- Creates and manages user accounts and access levels based on manager/business owner requests through the service desk request system
- Keeps management informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management
- Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach
What are we looking for?
- Associates degree (or equivalent working experience) in Information Systems or a similar technical/engineering field of study
- At least one certification in a related field (ie CompTIA A+, ITIL, Network +, MCSA)
- Strong written and oral communication skills (English)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Logical and efficient with keen attention to detail, accuracy and follow-up
- Working knowledge of computer and server hardware, Microsoft Client/Server Operating Systems, Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (preferably VMware), terminal services, mobile device technologies, networking, and IT best practices
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of Windows Operation System Support and/or Service Desk/Help Desk Support is highly desirable
