Job Overview:
This position is unique on the Special Education team in that this position specialized in Early Childhood education for children with and without disabilities. This position works with myriad external groups in representing the agency on workgroups and committees. This position assists school districts and other public agencies providing special education, general education, and related services to develop and implement continuing education activities. This position is responsible for completing reviews of special education files, providing technical assistance for special education questions, and understanding how IDEA applies to a school setting. This position also collaborates with multiple programs within the agency, and other agencies, to coordinate between various grants and initiatives to streamline the services provided. This position uses a data-driven approach to assist school districts and others in identifying continuing education and technical assistance needs to improve outcomes for Montana students regarding school service.
