Unit Mission Statement

Position Summary
As an essential member of the W&M Veteran-to-Executive Transition (W&M VET) team, the
Project and Business Manager leads a wide range of direct support services to the program with an emphasis on seamless operations between
affiliated entities. The Project and Business Manager will be a planner, monitor, and executor of projects originating under the Special
Assistant, as well as enhancing and amplifying events involving the Special Assistant or W&M VET Team (Office of Student Veteran
Engagement, Center for Military Transition, and the Whole of Government Center of Excellence) more broadly in support of Vision 2026. This
position will advise and guide the Special Assistant and the W&M VET Team on procurement policies and administrative oversight, and will
be responsible for designing and executing financial and administrative operations involving the $10 million gift by the donor and
corresponding budgets and indexes under W&M VET. This position works with multiple units on campus including the Office of University
Advancement, William & Mary Alumni Association, Accounts Payable, Procurement, IT, Travel, Human Resources and the Office of Sponsored
Programs to facilitate processing of fiscal transactions, procurement of equipment and services, and the organizing of high-level events
involving Chancellor Robert M. Gates ’65, L.H.D. ’98, senior ranking military officers, alumni, parents, family and donors.

$52,500 – $60,000. Commensurate with experience.
