The Academic Advising team at Linfield University invites applicants for an Academic Advisor position focused on the School of Business,
Transfer Students, and Online and Continuing Education. The School of Business at Linfield University inspires students to create
educational experiences that foster intellectual curiosity, integrity, an inclusive mindset, business relevant knowledge and skills, global
awareness and ethical behavior. Housed within the School of Business is Linfield’s Online and Continuing Education (OCE) program. OCE offers
undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate, and non-traditional students the opportunity to attain a variety of degrees and
certificates.
The Academic Advisor provides advising support for the School of Business, transfer students, and serves as a primary
role advisor for students in Online and Continuing Education (OCE). The Academic Advisor helps coordinate student success initiatives in the
School of Business, including graduate programs. The Academic Advisor collaborates with admission and the registrar’s office to facilitate a
seamless transition for matriculating transfer students as they enroll at the University and engage in the Linfield community. In addition,
the Academic Advisor serves as a crucial link between online students and University support services. This position is based on the
McMinnville campus as assigned and requires contact and advising via phone, email, and in-person. The Academic Advisor reports directly to
the Director of Academic Advising.
The successful candidate will have a passion for advising and mentoring students, appreciate
independent and team work, and excel at written and verbal communication. All applicants must have demonstrated commitment to working with a

collaboratively with faculty and staff and to mentor students from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds is

Position is considered light work. Frequent repetitive movement of

lifting up to 20 pounds. Exposure to weather elements when walking from building to building on campus.
