achieved by repairs as needed and by a proactive plan of inspection and testing of all major
equipment.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The primary
purpose of the Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Technician is to test and maintain the University’s fire, sprinkler, security and other systems as
required. This includes replacing and modifying existing systems and review of plans and specification for new and/or buildings to be
renovated.
This position has been designated as mandatory personnel for the university and may be required to report to work during
adverse weather conditions even though the university may be operating on an alternate schedule. This position may assist with snow, ice
and/or debris removal under the direction of a supervisor.
