Job Description:
The Office of Global Engagement at Clark University invites applications for two instructor positions to teach a course titled “Intermediate Micro-Economics with Calculus” during the Fall 2024 semester in person at our partner institution (Hefei Institute of Technology) in China. These are part-time, non-tenure line, renewable positions based upon satisfactory performance. The first class starts on September 23rd, 2024, and ends on November 24th, 2025. The second class starts on November 18th, 2024, and ends on January 19th, 2025. If one instructor is available to teach both courses, the dates could be slightly adjusted.
As with other faculty appointments, teaching customarily includes course development, class time, class preparation, suitable office hours, grading, finals, classroom accounting, and other responsibilities commonly associated with university-level teaching. Teaching faculty are key contributors to the university’s academic mission, which is to prepare students to meet the challenges of a complex and rapidly changing society. The teaching load for this position is one course with 3 sections, a total of 18 contact hours a week.
